My introduction to Magnus​  

"We pulled up the drive, and jumped out of the car and were greeted with this  phenomenal animal, floating over these huge hills. He galloped right up to me and stopped dead. We were all in awe, no one spoke, no one moved. We just took in this amazing presence we were all so privileged to stand in front of. You will be able to experience the same thing when you meet him!  I went up to get him with my angle loader from Auckland. We taught him to  lead and float, within 4 days we were on our journey home with him! I was amazed by how quick he picked up things that was so new to him. He was very comical when we took him off the float before the ferry, he quickly developed a small audience! I feel very privileged to be training Magnus, he greets me with a nicker each morning with his winning personality. "

Magnus’s outstanding history & pedigree

Swedish warm bloods are noted for their athleticism, their rider-ability and their temperament. Heritage is obviously all –important in passing on these characteristics.. 

Magnus’s outstanding pedigree  He is a mix of all original Purebreds Swedish Warm bloods brought into NZ.  (After approx. 50 yrs. of breeding these lines. We have Magnus) His sire Moschinno is sired by Gibraltar II (Who competed successfully to  Medium level Dressage)   GIBRALTAR sire is CALLAGHAN # 460 ( Maestro sire) was a State Premium  A licensed Swedish stallion – The highest award recognising not only the excellence of the individual but the ability to consistently pass on these  qualities to his offspring.  Who has produced a number of quality horses in Sweden and USA, in dressage,   show jumping and eventing. One of the better known USA bred stallions is  LEGACY, who received amongst the highest grades possible at his stallion  classification.  LEGACY is also full brother to LOHENGRIN who is MAGNUS SWB dam’s sire   MAGNUS great dam MANIARA (MAESTRO dam)   Who is the highest classified Swedish mare in history.  MAGNUS great, great grandsire URBINO # 439 state Premium A Sire of 3  licensed stallions, incl. Olympic winner FLAMINO # 341 who also sired top  horses in the dressage and jumping.  GARBI (Magnus Great dam) is 17hh Swedish Diploma mare successfully   competed at Grand Prix in the USA  GARBI’s dam is by GASPADIN by GASPARI # 341, sire of C Stuckelberger’s GAUGIN DE LULLY .  CEYLON and SILVAN are on Magnus’s Great dam’s side INDIA II . CEYLON was classified as an elite Stallion in Sweden .Amongst the progeny he  produced were four sons who became approved Stallions in their own right.   One was Master, Kyra Kurland’s dressage star. Master is recognized as being one of the great dressage stallions winning 19  FEI events in 19 starts.  SILVAN was another son .SILVAN started competing in Europeans a show  jumper and won a number of European Championships at 1.40m level of  competition. Injury forced his early retirement. SILVAN was then exported to  USA where he started a career in dressage he reached Intermediate Level II  where again injury curtailed his career .SILVAN sired approx. 26 foals in north 
America , of whom the mares were much sought after for breeding . One of  these mares was INDIA II Magnus Grand Dam
